→ Olivia is riding her bicycle. Olivia is a singular naming word and ‘her’ is a singular pronoun. 
→ Can I have a glass of water? ‘I’ is a singular noun and is used because there is only one speaker. 

2. Plural Pronoun

1. Plural pronouns are used to replace plural naming words or nouns. 
2. Plural pronouns are used to indicate many people, animals or things. 

Examples:

→  Come play with us! ‘Us’ is a plural pronoun and is used in this sentence because more than one person is playing. 
→  They are going on a road trip. Since many people are going for a road trip, we used the plural pronoun ‘they’

3. Personal Pronoun

Personal pronouns are used to identify the speaker, person or thing. 

Examples:

→  I love to draw. ‘I’ is a personal pronoun. 
→  She is reading a book. ‘She’ is a personal pronoun. 

4. Possessive Pronoun

Pronouns that show ownership of something are known as possessive pronouns.

Examples:

→  This book is hers. In this sentence ‘hers’ shows the ownership of a book.
→  His watch is not working. ‘His’ shows the ownership of the watch.
