    Here, the above sentences show the timings of an action done by Shelly. That is called Tenses. They are classified as present, past and future tense.

    What are Tenses?

    Tenses are used to tell when something happened. They help us understand if an action took place in the past, present, or future. There are three main tenses:

    Simple Past Tense

    The simple past tense is used to tell about something that happened in the past.

    Examples of simple past tense:

    → We played football yesterday.
    → Shelly wore a white dress on her birthday.
    → They visited the zoo.
    → He watched a movie last night.

    Simple Present Tense

    The simple present tense refers to talking about something that happens in the present.

    Examples of simple present tense:

    → She plays with her friends every day.
    → The Sun rises in the morning.
    → Jack eats cornflakes for breakfast.
    → We go to school.

    Note: In simple present tense, we add an 's' to the verb when names or pronouns he/she/it are used.

    Simple Future Tense

    The simple future tense is used to tell about things that will happen in the future.

    Examples of simple future tense:

    → I will go to the park tomorrow.
    → Jack will go to music classes after school.
    → They will play basketball on Sunday.
    → John will complete his homework after lunch.
