    There are four types of gender. These are:

    2. When something is referred to as feminine, it denotes that it is related to female characteristics.
    3. Examples of feminine gender are mother, daughter, lady, girl, etc. Let's use feminine words in sentences:

      → The bride looked stunning.
      In the above sentence bride is a feminine word.

      Waitress is a feminine word in the above sentence.

    2. Masculine Gender

    1. Words that refer to males, whether they be people or animals, are known as masculine gender.
    2. When something is referred to as masculine, it denotes that it is related to male characteristics.
    3. Examples of masculine gender are ox, uncle, waiter, etc. Let's use masculine words in sentences:

      → My dad is a firefighter.
      Dad is a masculine word.

      Groom is a masculine word used in this sentence.

    1. Words that can be used for both men and women or to people in general are referred to as common gender.

      An author can be either feminine or masculine. Therefore, it is a common gender.
