In a lovely town called Greenfield, the sun shone brightly, and the birds chirped happily. Let's join two friends, Timmy and Liila, as they explore how human activities can change the weather. "Hey, Lila. Did you know that the weather can change because of what humans do?" asked Timmy. "Really? But how?" Lila replied with curiosity.

Timmy pointed to the colourful cars zooming past them. "See all these cars? When they move, they release a gas called 'carbon dioxide'. "What does that gas do?" Lila inquired. "Imagine it like a big, warm blanket. When there's too much of it in the air, it makes our Earth too hot," explained Timmy.

Next, Timmy and Lily walked to a beautiful forest. Lila noticed some people cutting down trees.

Kids, can you tell why cutting too many trees is bad?

"Timmy, why are they cutting down these trees?" "Oh no! When trees are cut, they can't help us get fresh air. Trees take in carbon dioxide and give us fresh air," Timmy responded.

"So, fewer trees mean less fresh air?" Lila deduced.

"Exactly, Lila! We need trees to keep our air clean and cool," Timmy confirmed. They continued their journey and reached Timmy's house. Mia, Timmy's sister, was playing a game on her big TV. "Wow, that's a lot of lights and sounds!" exclaimed Lila.

"Yes, Lila. But using too much electricity from burning things can make the air dirty," Mia chimed in. "And dirty air can make people and animals sick," added Timmy.

As they walked further, they saw a pile of trash overflowing with things like plastic bottles and bags. Timmy, why is there so much trash here?" Lila questioned.

Sometimes, we don't throw away our things properly. This trash can hurt animals and even change our weather!" Timmy replied with concern. "Oh no, that's not good!" Lila exclaimed.

Finally, at a park, they saw kids playing with water hoses. "Water flights! But is it okay to use so much water?" Lila wondered. "We need water to drink and grow food. But using too much water can be a problem. Some places might not have enough!" Timmy informed her. "So, we should use water wisely?" Lila asked. "Yes, Lila. We can turn off taps when not needed and save water," Timmy nodded in agreement.

Kids, can you tell why we should be careful with the use of cars and buses?

    image

"Alright, Lila, Let's see if you remember. Why should we be careful with cars and buses?" Timmy quizzed. "Because it releases smoke and gas called carbon dioxide?" Lila replied.

"That's right! And what does this gas do?" Timmy asked. "It makes our Earth too hot, like a warm blanket!" Lila exclaimed. "You got it! Well done, Lila," Timmy praised.

In their adventure around Greenfield, Timmy and Lila learned how important it is to take care of our Earth. Every little thing they do can make a big difference. They promised to tell everyone about it and protect their lovely town and the Earth. So, kids, always remember to be kind to our planet. It's the only one we've got!
