"Hey, Max! Why are you digging there?" asked Mia, her eyes twinkling with curiosity. "I"m going to plant this tree I got from the garden centre," replied Max, brushing dirt off his hands. Liam walked over, holding a bag of seeds. "Cool! Mind if I plant some of these around your tree?" "Of course not, Liam! The more, the merrier," Max grinned.

Kids, can you tell what should be the first step of planting a tree?

"Mia, where do you think we should put this tree?" Max scratched his head. "How about near the swing set? It"ll give us shade in the summer," Mia suggested. "Good idea!" Liam nodded in agreement.

"Liam, can you pass me that shovel?" Max pointed to a shiny tool on the table. "Sure thing!" Liam handed it over. "We need to make sure the soil is soft for the tree to grow properly."

"Mia, do you want to do the honours?" Max asked, holding the tree. "Thanks, Max! Here goes nothing, "Mia said, carefully placing the tree in its new home. Liam, can you fetch the watering can?" Max looked around. "Already ahead of you!" Liam grinned, holding the can. After giving the tree a good drink, Mia said, "We should water it regularly, right?"

Kids, can you tell why plants need water?

"Exactly," Max replied. "Plants, just like us, need water to grow."

A few days later, Liam exclaimed, "Look, Mia! Our seeds are sprouting!" "And Max, your tree has a new leaf!" Mia pointed excitedly. "We"re doing a great job," Max beamed. "Oh no, Max! There"s a snail munching on your tree!" Liam exclaimed. "Don"t worry," Mia said, picking up the snail gently. "We can move it to another spot."

A few weeks later, Mia, Liam, and Max stood proudly in their garden. "Our hard work paid off!" Liam exclaimed. "And look at these flowers!" Mia added. "Best team ever," Max said, wrapping an arm around each of his friends.

"Mia, I read that mulching can help our plants. Should we try it?" asked Liam. "Definitely," Mia nodded. "Mulch keeps the soil moist, prevents weeds, and looks neat!" "Hey Max, do you have any plant food?" asked Mia. "I do! Let"s sprinkle some around our plants. It"ll give them extra nutrients." Max replied. Liam pulled out a notebook. "I"m making a checklist to remind us of our gardening tasks." "Great idea," said Max. "Regular checks ensure our plants stay healthy."

"Hey Mia," Liam pondered, "How do we know if our plants are getting enough sunlight?" Mia pointed to the garden. "See how the sun hits the garden patch? Most plants need about 6-8 hours of sunlight daily."

"Oops, Max! I think I overwatered this plant," exclaimed Mia. "That"s okay," Max comforted her. "It"s all part of learning. Next time, we"ll be more careful."

In the end, Mia, Liam, and Max realised that their garden was more than just plants- it was a symbol of their teamwork and shared love for nature.
