International Green Warrior Olympiad (IGWO) is not just any competition; it's an adventure that combines learning, awareness, and action to create positive change for our environment. The International Green Warrior Olympiad focuses on 8 out of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals are like a map guiding the students of grade 12 towards a better, greener world.
The world is facing big challenges like climate change, pollution, and deforestation among others. The International Green Warrior Olympiad is an opportunity for students in grade 12 to understand and tackle these issues. By participating, students become part of a global movement dedicated to preserving our planet.
GWO doesn't just test knowledge of grade 12 students; it helps to expand it. Students will explore the SDG goals that focus on areas like Clean Water and Sanitation, Affordable and Clean Energy, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, Life Below Water, Life On Land, and Food Security and Agriculture. Understanding these goals will make them a better, more informed global citizen.
Learning about sustainable resources is crucial for students of class 12, especially at a young age. CREST Olympiads, which is Asia’s Most Innovative Olympiad Exams and is conducted at an international level with students participating from 40+ countries and 5000+ schools, took an initiative for school students by introducing the competition of International Green Warrior Olympiad for class 12.
The Olympiad intends to test personal growth, positive emotional connections to environmental issues, and a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental sustainability for grade 12 students.
Other Important Information:
a) The exam will be conducted in English.
b) This course provides an in-depth exploration of 8 out of 17 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their relevance in addressing global challenges. Students will examine each of the SDGs goals, their interconnections, and the role of individuals, communities, and nations in achieving them.
c) The exam must be taken using web-enabled devices such as laptops, tablets, or desktops equipped with webcams. The use of mobile devices is prohibited.
