Note: Olympiad exam registration generally takes place through school. But few exams accept individual registrations.
- International Geography Olympiad
The International Geography Olympiad (iGeo) is an annual competition for the best 16 to 19-year-old geography students from all over the world. The iGeo consists of three parts: a written test, a multimedia test and substantial fieldwork requiring observation, leading to cartographic representation and geographical analysis. The program also includes poster presentations by teams, cultural exchanges, and time for students.

- Sri Lankan Biology Olympiad
The paper consists of 40 MCQs and 20 short answer questions. The total time allocated is 2 hours. The marking of each question is not defined. Students who are going to appear for local or foreign A/L exams are eligible to apply.
The Sri Lankan Biology Olympiad gives the students interested in the field of Biology a chance to explore and challenge their skills in Biology. They compete with others to stand meritoriously and to get a chance to compete in the International Biology Olympiad.

- Sri Lankan Earth Science Olympiad Olympiad
The exam is of intermediate level for school students studying in Sri Lanka. The exam consists of 3 sections i.e. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Short Answer Questions. The MCQ type marking is (01 Marks X 50 = 50 Marks). The participants must be Sri Lankan school students under 19 years by 1st July of the participating year & also who have passed the SAT for G.C.E.(O/L) or the G.C.E.(O/L) examination.

- Sri Lankan Informatics Olympiad
There is an initial screening for the competition which consists of 10 quiz questions. It is necessary to score at least 50% in the same to be able to appear for the competition. The main test consists of programming problems that need to be solved with the help of a computer. The candidate must be a student in any school in Sri Lanka.

- Sri Lankan International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics
The paper consists of two parts, viz. A and B. Part A consists of 30 multiple choice questions and Part B consists of 2 theoretical or numerical questions. The score of these questions is not specified. The students appearing for the local competition have no age barrier but for the international competition, the student should be less than 20 years in age.

- Sri Lankan Junior Science Olympiad
The students participating must be less than 16 years of age as of 31st December of the applying year.
The paper consists of 50 Multiple Choice Questions based on the prescribed syllabus. The paper consists of roughly 15 questions on Biology, 15 of Chemistry, 10 of Physics and 10 of Mathematics.
The aim is to promote science among school students and expose them to the skills of problem-solving, reasoning, etc. The test also acts as a prelim exam for the International Junior Science Olympiad.
