Olympiad Exams in Turkmenistan

i) Turkmen National Biology Olympiad

The Turkmen National Biology Olympiad is open for 10th and 11th grade students. This Olympiad competition is conducted in 4 rounds.

The 1st round is conducted at the school. The best two or three students from each school qualify for the district level.

The district Level is the 2nd round, which is conducted by the different hosts every year. The top 3 students move on to the regional level.

The 3rd round is the regional level, which is again conducted by the different hosts every year. The top 3 students move on to the national level.

Final round (or) 4th round is National Level and is held in a different city each year. The Ministry of Education is the main organizer of the final round.

A committee of academic experts in several biological science subjects prepares the questions for all republican subject Olympiad stages and rounds and they generally match with the IBO syllabus.

There is no set format for the exams. Exams can include Multiple choice questions, fill-in blanks and Oral questions sometimes.

Turkmen State University's National Institute of Education administers the exams.
