A rectangular wooden block has a weight of 40 N. The dimensions of the block are 20 cm x 10 cm x 5 cm.
The block is placed on a table in two different ways:
Position A: Lying on its widest face (20\text{ cm} \times 10\text{ cm}).
Position B: Standing on its narrowest face (10\text{ cm} \times 5\text{ cm}).
Calculate the pressure exerted by the wooden block on the table in both positions. In which case is the pressure higher, and why?
