What's one or two achievements that you are proud of?
I'm proud of all my achievement's and not just one or two. I've won more than a dozen medals and more than a half century trophies and I'm absolutely proud of all of them and not just one or two. Yeah, but I can certainly say that some are more memorable than the others. And also there are a few which I won because there were no other competitors.
What is your biggest fear and how do you overcome it?
Biggest fear is my attitude of complacency and I used to overcome that by engaging myself in a cluster of activities round the clock.
Who is your ideal and why?
My ideal is APJ Abdul Kalam. And I aspire to become a dedicated scientist like him.
Which public figure (sportsperson, actor, etc.) inspires you the most?
If I say now, then there are almost hundreds of public figures who inspire me because I normally change my inspirations every week. One day it will be Virat Kohli and the other day it will be Serena Williams. It's quite hard for me to say which one is my inspiration right now because at this moment there are hundreds of people going through my mind. Maybe it's Manu Bhaker or Shafali Verma or Naomi Osaka or someone else...
Who or what keeps you motivated?
Work and dedication of my parents keeps me motivated. Even the aura of winning keeps me motivated.
Have you thought of your career line? What do you want to become and why?
Yeah, I've certainly thought about my career line but unfortunately I wouldn't like to disclose it. I would like to keep it personal. But I would give one hint. It is related to Science.
If there is one gift you would like to have, what would that be?
Of course, I would like to reach a peak which no person has ever treaded before and which will make my country proud.
Your favourite memory that you would like to share?
My favourite memory is when I secured a silver medal in State shooting championship and was applauded by great sportsmen.
What's one thing about you that your friends don't know?
Nothing. In fact everyone knows everything but some implement while some not.
What is your secret of making friends?
The most important point in making friends is that you should be helpful, kind and sharing and also you should be able to apply the proverb "A friend in need is a friend indeed" in real and not just say it. A person never likes a friend who is selfish and is not open to others. Also you have to develop the ability of being humble.
What are your hobbies? How do you keep a balance between your hobbies and studies?
Playing and quizzing. It's not at all a rocket science and I try to balance it all through perfect time management.
Which is your favourite sport? When did you start practicing and why?
Well, my favourite sport is undoubtedly shooting. I started practicing it about one and a half year ago. I like it because it helps me to achieve better concentration which is utmost necessary in my studies. I also find it very interesting.
What do you love to do the most in your free time?
To be honest, I rarely get any free time as I am loaded with homeworks and studying after school. If I still have any free time left then I like to read books, usually novels by famous authors. I also go to shooting classes to release my boredom and then I also like to watch TV. I spend at least 30 minutes on the phone everyday as I like to get news and information from it and also watch my favourite videos on YouTube.
What are your study tips for getting better grades in school examinations?
There are actually a million tips. But the one which in my sense is the most important is that no matter what, you should never ever try to mug up. One should always read the book thoroughly and try to understand about what it is conveying. And if one finds it hard to understand then they should go to a friend or teacher who can clear their doubts. Overall, mugging up is never the solution.
How do you prepare for Olympiads?
Generally, to be honest, I seldom prepare for my Olympiads. That's true. I don't even like preparing for the Olympiads. Because whatever comes in the Olympiad is from your syllabus only and if you know your books well then you can easily answer the questions. So, I don't think there is any point in studying before the Olympiads and carrying stress with you. Yeah, sometimes, I just have a look at the books before the Olympiads and that's it. I don't like to prepare for like 3 to 4 hours during an Olympiad examination. I think 1 hour would be completely fine.
How has appearing for Olympiad exams helped your studies?
Most of the Olympiad questions tallied with my text book studies. So it was vice versa. While the Olympiad questions enhanced my fundamental knowledge, on the other hand my text books increased my probability of winning Olympiad.
Do you have any advice or tips for students who are interested in appearing for Olympiads?
Perseverance, dedication and commitment are the three key elements one has to possess in order to make mark in Olympiads. I would also like to advice my fellow students to appear in Olympiads irrespective of any schedules because it not only enhances our brains but also helps us in our studies and future entrance exams.
