What is your biggest fear and how do you overcome it?
My biggest fear is fire. I am very scared of fire, but I have no idea why that is. I want to overcome it, because as we all know, fire has many benefits, and it is almost the backbone of humanity. I try to overcome it with professional training in the handling of fire in beneficial ways. Having someone with me to teach me how to safely use and handle fire and to help and reassure me really helps. I have been able to overcome it a lot, but I am still slightly scared of fire.
Who is your ideal and why?
My ideal is Billie Eilish, a singer, because she used to be in a very similar situation as me: living in a place where only her neighbourhood knew about her talent, but she wanted the whole world to listen to the music she made. I also love music and I want my music to reach people all over the world. Billie makes music with her brother in her bedroom and releases it. She taught me that you don't need a studio to make beautiful music, all you need is some creativity, talent and basic technical skills. She taught me that creativity knows no bounds and there are no rules to making beautiful, wholesome art. Billie was just 13 when one of her songs went viral. Now she is a very famous singer who has already won 5 Grammys, and she is the youngest person to win the Album Of The Year award, at the young age of just 18. I really look up to her because of how close our ages and our conditions are, and I want my music to reach the world, just like hers.
Which public figure (sportsperson, actor, etc.) inspires you the most?
Taylor Swift, a singer, is my biggest inspiration, because she is a very successful and talented person, and she works very hard for her money. She used to live in a small town and perform at different places, but when she was 14, a single performance at a café changed her life. Her talent was recognised, and today, she has won many awards and has been named artist of the decade. Her journey is very inspiring to me. She has gone through a lot, but she has stayed determined and focused at her goal, and never once strayed from the path. She never gives up and strives to be better all the time. She views every success and failure as a learning opportunity. She lives by the motto 'You are not the opinion of someone who doesn't know you'. And despite all her fame and wealth, she has stayed humble and grounded, and does not show off her belongings. She is also a very kind person, and helps people whenever she can.
Who or what keeps you motivated?
My mother keeps me motivated. She has been through a lot in life, but she has persevered and not given up on her goals. She works hard everyday despite all the difficulties. She never gives up. She learns from her mistakes, and believes that failure is the path to success. She is an optimist and always looks at the positive side of things.
Have you thought of your career line? What do you want to become and why?
Yes, I have thought about my career line. I want to become a pilot, because I love everything about aviation. To me, the world of aviation is very interesting, informative and fun. Not to mention, I would be helping lots of people with this job. The subjects required to be a pilot are English, Physics and Maths, and I love all these subjects. I have done a lot of research about this career, and I feel that this is the perfect job for me.
If there is one gift you would like to have, what would that be?
I would very much like to have the gift of which wisdom. Wisdom is very essential in life and wisdom is something no one can ever take away from you. If I had the gift of wisdom, I would be able to make the right decisions and walk the right path in life. I wouldn't go astray and I would know how to reach my goals. I would also use my wisdom to help others.
Your favourite memory that you would like to share?
My favourite memory is when I went to the VVM (Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan, a science exam) state level camp. I had got rank 1 in district level, so I was selected for the state level. I had a lot of fun there. First, we had to do some science experiments for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. After that, we had to give a written test. Then, we had to do a Mathematics practical. After that, in the evening, the results were announced. Even though I didn't get a position, I highly enjoyed myself and I learned a lot from the experience.
What's one thing about you that your friends don't know?
One thing that my friends don't know about me is that I am very impatient. I find it very difficult to wait, and I just want everything to happen quickly. I have been trying to become more patient recently, and I am glad to say that it is working. I have become a little more patient. But I still have a long way to go. There is a long journey of self-control and self-improvement ahead.
What is your secret of making friends?
My secret of making friends is to have a positive, happy and helpful attitude. If someone is sad or has a problem, you can help them, then talk to them, and before you know it, you will become friends with that person. If someone is not in trouble, you can still approach them and start a friendly conversation with them. The key here is to find something that both you and the other person have in common, like a hobby, an interest, a liking for a certain person, etc. Ask them questions about their life and their likes and dislikes.
What are your hobbies? How do you keep a balance between your hobbies and studies?
Art, dance, singing and reading books are my hobbies. I allocate time for each and strictly stick to my schedule for balancing hobbies and studies.
Which is your favourite sport? When did you start practicing and why?
My favourite sport is Taekwondo. It is a korean martial art which includes many kicks and punches. In Taekwondo, there are little to no defensive moves, only attack moves. It is one of the most dangerous sports, but I love to play it because it is fun and also increases my stamina, energy and strength. It keeps me physically and mentally fit and teaches me to defend myself.
